Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window
A plane transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the plane's windshield, as stated by an announcement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.
"The jet touched down in accordance with established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, among them Secretary Hegseth, is secure," an official representative commented in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to Brussels at the time.
This incident isn't the first time that a American defense plane ferrying a top government figure has experienced technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was required to turn back to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
