The Music Icon Embraces a Twisted Persona of Herself in Mockumentary First Look

The Grammy-winning artist is preparing for a substantial cinematic appearance in 2026, kicking off with the mockumentary titled The Moment.

Throughout the movie, the artist plays what she describes as a twisted version of herself.

It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music industry that I’ve ever witnessed, the performer remarked.

She clarified in a discussion: It’s far from a live performance documentary, but the idea came from the pressure to produce one.

An Early Look into The Film

The initial preview, released on Thursday, mixes authentic footage from her recent tour with imagined off-stage interactions.

The mockumentary is overseen and co-authored by Aidan Zamiri, who revealed that the plot revolves around a reality where Charli opted for alternate decisions during the publicity of her smash hit album Brat.

A Hectic Acting Schedule

This project is only one of many upcoming film appearances for Charli, who already appeared in three festival films this year.

  1. Relationship story Erupcja
  2. Dark comedy satire Sacrifice
  3. Queer fairytale 100 Nights of Hero

She also took on her own role in the Amazon series Overcompensating.

Future Ventures

The following year will also feature the star alongside Olivia Wilde in erotic drama I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in creative industry mystery The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in terror reimagining Faces of Death.

Additionally, she signed on to star in the actress’s first film as director A Tree in Blue.

I’m thoroughly loving my foray into acting, she expressed. I’m highly enthusiastic at the moment in that field, and I only ever aim to pursue things that inspire me.

Soundtrack Involvement

Next February will also bring the release of the director’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will include new music from the artist.

She will also create the soundtrack for the story Mother Mary, featuring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, set to be released next year.

The mockumentary is scheduled to debut on 30 January.
